So I read through my high school yearbooks last night
Blimey, what people looked like in 1989.

:puke:

I'm still unconvinced we survived that era...

I'm surprised at what was allowed...

I know they have metal detectors installed at that HS these days. If I found a 2007 yearbook, would have the kids be showing off their guns while smiling?!

1. I don't remember guns. Just spandex leggings topped with a belted oversize shirt that
hangs off one shoulder.

But yeh, I see your point!

2. I graduated in '82
I'm still amazed that we didn't poke each other eyes out with our hair.

3. Careful, the fashions are coming back.
I saw some dude wearing a polo shirt with the collar turned up the other day. Can acid washed jeans and parachute pants be far behind?

4. In my high school's annual "talent" show
I juggled knives, swords, torches, hatchets, machetes, saw blades, and hedge trimmers. That was 1986-1989.

I can't imagine that they'd be too quick to let such an act go on today...

5. My high school's talent show featured (99%) heavy metal wannabe bands...
"Laceration" sticks out in my mind for some reason... not the talent, which it wasn't...

6. Two things: First, I thought that you typed "Lactation"
That would be a Heavy Metal wannabe band worth seeing.

Second: it's like you and I went to the same high school. One band featured a drum solo that AFAIK is still going on.
