Man suffers fatal electrical shock while fixing mistress' microwave |
|
A Copiague man leading a double life - with a wife and three kids in one home and a girlfriend and three kids in another - accidentally electrocuted himself while trying to fix his lover's microwave, police and relatives said Thursday.
Jose Murillo's grief-stricken widow, Celia, said she learned of her husband's other woman when she went to the hospital late Wednesday to view the body.
Murillo, 48, died in the kitchen of his girlfriend's home on Wednesday.
Suffolk County police said the father of six was working on the microwave with metal tools and had unplugged the appliance after his girlfriend urged him to do so. But Murillo apparently plugged the appliance back in and continued to work on the appliance, said cops.
"She went into another room after telling him to unplug the microwave," said police Lt. Jack Fitzpatrick.
"About 10 minutes goes by and she hears a loud bang in the kitchen. She came back to find lying on the floor." --------------
Emphasis mine. And I've heard of men having secret double lives with two houses, but three kids in each? Raises so many questions.

1. Didn't someone ask about taking a microwave apart the other day? |
|
And someone here said they contain a charge even when they're not plugged in?
And isn't there a safety warning to that effect on the back?

If your mistresses microwave breaks, it's not worth fixing, trust me. There's a capacitor in there capable of retaining a metric shit ton (MST) of voltage, upwards a few thousand volts. You get your fingers in there and complete the fucking circuit - it can kill, like in this case.
EVEN IF IT'S UNPLUGGED.
Tell your mistress to get her ass down to sears and buy a new one. They're usually not worth having repaired, either.

9. If it's over the range, they can be expensive to have installed. |

In that case, sometimes it's slightly less money to have the machine repaired.
In my opinion, microwaves are made to be disposable. Period.
