Poll question: Best John Waters movie |
|
I'm starting this poll for two reasons:
1. My Mel Brooks poll was fun. 2. I love John Waters!
What say you? And keep this thread clean...or filthy, as it were...

6. John Waters movies have killed more of my brain cells than whippits |

I had a certain subset of friends who were hellbent on making me understand the glory that is John Waters...I dumped their asses and life got better, brighter, and worth living again.

10. You're right, his movies aren't for everyone. |
|
Those that are squeamish and have delicate sensibilities may have difficulty getting his humor. But no worries, to each his own, right? :hi:

A good friend of mine is an ex-drag performer from New Orleans, and he got to meet Divine backstage during a show (in and out of drag)... Said he/she was an exceptionally nice and gracious person....

12. It's sort of sad that the fine city of Baltimore ends up being represented by John Waters as an icon |
|
That being said, he is Balmerese, after all, so I will give some respect to the man, no matter how twisted he may be.
My vote went for "Serial Mom". Why? Because they filmed a scene at the shopping center right down the street from my grandparent's house. And when I was watching it, I thought to myself, "Hey! That's the shopping center right down the street from my grandparent's house! Neat-o!"

14. Oddly enough, Bawlmer's other name director is Barry Levinson |
|
perhaps the most earnest straight arrow in all of directordom, i.e. everything Waters is not.
Who's to say whether the family in "Avalon" is any more or less truly Baltimorean than the Turnblads?
