The BlueIris Semi-Nightly Poetry Break, 7/11/08
"Oatmeal"
Dry slide of Bob's Red Mill
Extra Thick Rolled Oats
off the scoop—

tiny dustcloud
settling like ash
from stirred coals.

Walking together,
happy, not
our first try.

—Peggy Shumaker

2. My dear BlueIris!
Well, now, this is iteresting...

Is the poet talking about life, or about making oatmeal?

Or is the making a metaphor for life?

I suspect the latter...

Interesting poem!

Thank you!

:hi:

3. Succinct. Cute, really.
I wanted to give people a break before getting back to the hard stuff.
