1. She'll be lonely and scared and will probably want to sleep on your neck.
If you let her do this she'll stop mewing and will instead purr loudly.

3. She wants you to post her picture.
Really, if she'll snuggle, she's not used to sleeping alone. This is a good time to start bonding.

4. Make sure her little tummy is full and let her in bed with you.
Don't even fool yourself into thinking that cat won't sleep with you--just bite the bullet now and keep her happy.

Congrats on your new baby! Will there be pics available soon?

5. Is there any way you can get another kitten?
It's so great to have two so they can play together.

6. We took her upstairs last night, and she climbed up into bed with us
herself, so she is now officially a BC-I-T: Bed Cat in Training! She's so small I worried we'd squash her, but she did OK. My husband woke up with her sitting on his chest looking at him.

She's my maximum cat as she is #4 in the house:

Sapa is our old marmalade general who sleeps in his basket in the sun after making a careful inspection of the path from the front porch to the side porch.

Siggy is a new addition, a young black & white male who loves to sit in my husband's lap while he is working,

Mary Jane is the little bitey cat who grooms Guinness the auxiliary dog.

The little kitten is currently named Ororo because my daughters have decided she resembles Ororo Monroe from the X-Men.

Jack, the main dog, is currently ignoring the bunch and sleeping.

10. Newsflash: ALL cats are BC-I-Ts...
...at least until they complete the "training" part. Then they're just BCs.

12. hot water bottle...
...or, alternatively, a soda bottle filled with warm water and wrapped in a dish towel. They used to recommend a ticking clock, but nobody's clock ticks anymore.

16. They do better in two's.
They seem to need something to snuggle with. but I'm an old softie. When my kitteh just gave birth, I didn't have the heart to get rid of any of them. Now we went from one cat to five. Overnight. ;)
