Eddie Money is making a racket in my neighborhood
Well, technically, it's a "concert". He's at the Boardwalk a few blocks away.

He was cute way back. I was thinking it's sort of a shame I can't walk over there because of my back. Then I googled.

I can listen from afar.

4. He didn't say
"take me home tonight?"

From that pic, the only person taking him home would have to be a Salvation Army volunteer.

10. Actually, he was with his kids
He stopped by my table after a magic show at a casino in Reno. He knew my BF at the time (BF was the entertainmnet writer for the local newspaper.)

I had no idea who he was :eyes:

But, he took my hand when introduced, kissed it, and told me I was beautiful.

Made me laugh...it was a cute moment.
He seemed to be a pretty decent guy, and into his kids, who also were pretty nice.

12. He used to come through OKC and stop to visit a DJ at one
of the local radio stations. I always thought his music was okay, but listening to him just sittin' around, shooting the breeze, he seemed like a pretty decent guy.

It's always nice to hear pleasant things about entertainers, instead of salacious gossip.

2. Heebus, is he still around?
I saw him in 1980 or thereabouts.

His voice cracked on one song. He looked around like, "Did I do that?" :D

5. Hey, at least he's on dry land!
Last time I saw him, circa 1983, he was playing from the top of a houseboat at Lake Berryessa. Some coke dealer had him there for his birthday party.

It was really pretty cool though, as we had a couple hundred boats clogging up Pope Creek under the Berryessa Knoxville Road Bridge, and you could literally walk from one side to the other by boat. Needles to say, a party ensued!:smoke:

9. He was on an episode of "The King of Queens" a few years back.
A cameo as himself. He hadn't aged well even then.

Sorry to hear your back is still giving you trouble. :-(

13. aw, thanks Terrya
It's MUCH better than it was a few months ago when I was in constant agony, but I still can't stand or walk for any appreciable length. But I DO have "moments" when I can stand up and walk without any pain at all - but it doesn't last for long.

But I know it's improved because I can actually get a full night's sleep now - and sometimes I can lay on my side. For a few months, I had to lay on my back with my legs at an odd angle to my body, and even then, only for an hour or two. So being able to actually sleep makes a HUGE difference.
