4. Yes, but we're having a problem with that |
|
Our system lowers the temp by as much as 3 degrees in order to drop the humidity levels. With outside temps in the low 70s and humidity 90-100%, the system is holding at 74-75 F even though the thermostat is set at 77 or 78. July in Florida is so much fun!

10. I prefer my body temp. to be right around 98.6*... |
|
although that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with the onset of a fever can be quite pleasant, until it gets above about 100*...
Other than that...I like inside temps around 77*...outside, it depends upon what I am doing. Working? 75* Playing? 90*
And let us do without the smoke and skunk smell around here lately...unpleasant at any temperature, but especially so at 107*...

I am a cold weather bear. If I could find a decent paying job, I would move north in an instant. Even the relatively temperate summer is torture.

I don't start sweating until it reaches 90F or above. High humidity is great, too :D
Maybe you should look into living in Alaska or B.C., Canada :)

Actually. Jobs are the issue. Right now is not a good time to give up a job that seems to be covering the bills adequately if not abundantly.
That and despite my allergys, I really like the green here. I just wish I could have the green as well as a nice 55-60 ambient temperature most of the year. Sometimes I think that live would be so much better if I could just blow up the sun.

24. Not that I have found |
|
Not compared to my current job, at least. I work in social work, I do a job worth doing, just got a raise, and I have massive student loan debt that I am now just able to make payment on without having to give up eating on alternate days.
Plus I have met Alaskans. They are crazy folk up there. It explains their politics.
The stipend sounds appealing, however.
Plus I hear its dry as all get out up there. I like rain.
See, I have lots of reasons why I am none to excited about Alaska. I would far rather have an ice age that just made here a little colder.

I have asthma and the humildity just kills me. I can barely breathe. I'd rather be too cool and have to wear a sweatshirt than have to endure humidity.

32. cooking a big meal or cleaning house - I think 60 to 65 would be good |
|
settin' around on the innernets? oh, 80 is good, 85 with a cold beer
Unfortunatly in summer the inside of this house can be slightly warmer than outside at 3 or 4 in the afternoon - which can mean over 100. blech. at least it almost always drops to the 60's at night.

I have no idea what the temperature is here, because I don't have a thermometer, and the weather forecast is in crazy numbers.
However, when I'm at my parents' house, I'm acutely aware of it. My dad is a little bit crazy about temperature. He turns the air conditioning on in the summer and makes it super cold in the house, and uses the heat in the winter to make it super hot. What is so crazy about that is that if it was as hot outside as he has the heat up to in the winter, he would turn the air conditioning on. Conversely, if it were as cold outside as he makes the house in the summer, he would turn up the heat. I have to wear sweaters inside in the summer, and sweat wearing a t-shirt in the winter when I stay with my parents.
I once lived with a Japanese guy who was crazy about always having the apartment super hot. This was in Los Angeles, and he would turn up the heat when the outside temperature was in the high 70's.

Pretty much anything below 85!
Actually, I've started keeping ours at 75..up from the 73 that I used to keep it at.
My problem is humidity..anything above 75 and it feels too stuffy even with our ceiling fans!
