4. She's doing well.

They ran every test under the sun, and determined that it was not cardiac-related. In fact, they told us that her heart is incredibly healthy and her cholesterol is really low; shocking, considering the way we eat, lol. They think it might be some kind of awful muscle spasm of the chest wall. She's supposed to see another doc soon about that. I am just incredibly grateful that it wasn't anything more serious.

possibility of it being Costochronditis. I have it and it will hurt like a heart attack, however it is on top of the breast bone, not below. It is a inflammation of the tissues connecting the ribs to the sternum. Mine is chronic, some is healed in months or weeks. Believe me, it hurts like a bitch and the blood pressure goes up because of the pain. Was in the ER a month ago with it. Have to watch my lifting of my boys, it will throw me into the pain all over. Not trying to give medical advise, just ask the docs of the possibility of it.

I am here WAY too much. I am also recovering from a stem-cell transplant, and I go on that message board a lot too.

Between the stories of people relapsing on one board, and the horrendous things going on in the world here, it is really not healthy to keep wallowing in it.

I had a heart scare like thinkblue and it turned out to be a combination of acid reflux and anxiety (both attributable to grad school and, erm, certain associated individuals), although it was a frightening, sh!tty night in the hospital to find that out. Send my love to her and oktoberkid. :hug:
