Do you weigh yourself?
I'm 5'2", and I haven't weighed myself since I was 23 (I'm 37 now). When I saw I weighed 123, I was miserable. I know that the normal weight range for my height is 118-132, but I feel so fat because I used to weigh 98-115 (in my teens and earliest 20s).

I have to go to the doctor on Tuesday. I fear that he will tell me that, even though I still wear a size 6 pants, he will tell me I'm too fat.

1. My dear danagsk8!
Yes, I weigh myself.

Not every day, though...

Just off and on, as the mood strikes me...

I bought a balance beam scale, the kind you find in Doctor's offices, because they are very accurate, and they don't wear out...

I don't know what to tell you about your fears...

If you're overweight, then you need to take care of it.

But there's no need to get yourself in a lather about it now...

Since you don't know what he will tell you...

If you buy a scale between now and Tuesday, weigh yourself in the morning, first thing after getting up...

You're at your lightest then...

And good luck!

2. not very often
I can tell by the way my clothes fit if I've gained weight and I try to adjust my eating habits from there. There was a time in my 20s when I was bulimic and anorexic and weighed myself constantly, multiple times a day even. Now I will sometimes even turn backward on the scale at the doctor's office and tell them to just write it down, they don't need to tell me except if there has been a marked change from the last visit. It's very freeing, I think, to not let the scales rule how you feel about yourself. But, as I said, I've got a lot of issues in this area (and really issues with just about everything now that I think about it). I strongly doubt you have a medically significant weight problem if you wear a size 6.

3. Nope.
The only time I ever know for sure what I weigh is on the rare occasion when I have to go to the doctor for some ailment or another. I judge my "weight" based on how my jeans are fitting, lol.

4. Even if Doc says I AM fat....
Why should I worry? It won't change me as a person, much less as a skater.

Also, there are fat acceptance groups out there, and plenty of men who love a woman with a little "meat" on her bones! ;)

It's the only way to keep myself motivated to keep my weight down. :)

6. Every day.
I'll eat junk, unless I'm reminded of the oncoming chub. And you are NOT at all fat. 123 is perfectly reasonable for your height. Anyone that says otherwise is trying to sell you something.

However, they never come through on their end.

8. Absolutely not.
It only depresses me. I've been trying to lose weight for the last several months and I'm tracking my progress by how my clothes fit. I'll probably check eventually, but not right now. When I'm depressed, I eat. And that is totally counterproductive. :D

9. Once a month.
On the first, first thing in the morning. The scale is really a worthless instrument more often.

10. I weigh every 2 or 3 weeks...
...but I'm still in my 20's, so my metabolism probably hasn't slowed as much as it's going to.

Of course, I don't really eat much, either.

12. No. As long as my pants fit, or if I buy a new pair I can get a size 6,
I don't care. If things feel a little tight, I cut back until my pants, or skirt, or whatever I'm wearing feel comfortable again.

I see my dr. once a year, and they weigh me, but I never ask what it is....

5'2", 132 lbs. Bummer...

Just a hint, you're well over 30. It's normal. When I was 20, I weighed 95 lbs too.

15. I just don't want to be a slave to a scale....
Like I was as an anorexic teenager. At one point, I was down to 89 pounds, which eventually led to liver damage and other health problems.

16. I stopped
I was working hard to lose 30 pounds one time and I checked it every day. But now I'm about the size I want to be and I can wear what I want mostly.
I'm 37 too, and I am getting softer with age :grr: I just have to keep moving and work out enough to keep some tone.

It sounds like you aren't fat AT ALL.

20. Karma...
This is my karma - full circle - for complaining about being a size 6, at a weight watchers meeting, with my sister when I was around 30 years old. I didn't understand why I made everyone at the meeting miserable.. but I do now.

I sneak glances at friends' places sometimes, though. (Last I checked it was 118 fully dressed.)

23. Periodically. I just weighed myself this morning. Not happy with my progress, but
nobody says anything. I am up five pounds due to stress eating and other family pressures.

I went swimming at 4:00 AM today and swam for two hours. Then I ate reasonably all day.

When I go to the doctor, I only let his assistant check my blood pressure. I tell her how much I weigh and she writes it down.

I weight myself on one scale only -- my home scale. That was suggested by a trainer a while ago.

24. you're nuts!
I don't have a scale, but I weigh myself sometimes when I'm around one. I know that I've gained a sold 20 - 40 pounds in the last ten years, and I'm probably 50 pounds heavier than when I was actually in shape in my teens. I think I'm quite fat, and have always been a bit tubby, but doctors have also never told me that I'm fat to the point where it's bad for my health. It sounds to me that you're not only not to that point, but actually on the normal/slim side of things.
