11. my first pregnancy was detected on a home kit and the doctor's office said I wasn't pregnant
but they were wrong and the test was right.

7. It depends on how far past ovulation the woman is
10 days past is when the earliest tests can detect, iirc, most people should test 12 dpo or later. It's very situational.

With my second baby, we took it early, and my husband said that the line was too faint to count. "Nope," sez I. "You'll see. There's a bun in the oven." That bun is now eight.

Even a trace amount of HGC is enough to show up.
