Five more questions
1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?

1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)
I used to hang out at the University Center food court at school a lot, but that has ceased to be a gathering spot for all my friends, so I just relax at home mostly.

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?
Plenty. Naomi Klein's "The Shock Doctrine," Robert Fisk's "The Great War for Civilization", Greg Wilpert's "Changing Venezuela by Taking Power."

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)
No kids here.

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?
Nope.

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?
Usually once a month plus intermittent trips for perishables.

2. Answers also ahoy
1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)

Yes, it's called the doggie room where my rescues frolic.

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?

That new Bugliosi fucking Bush over sounds like a great read. It's next up.

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)

No kids.

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?

When I was a teen, we took in my grandma for a few years. Loved it, as she was a fantastic woman.

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?

Twice a week. Produce, plus cooking for dogs mandates it.

3. My answers
1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)

I usually go to the lesbian bar once a week, on Sunday night. Just didn't feel like it tonight.

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?

I ordered "The Prosecution of George W. Bush for Murder" about a week ago. And they are sure taking their sweet fucking time to send it to me.

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)

I was 22, and it was a MAJOR accident and surprise! I was absolutely devastated at the time. But, he ended up being the best thing that ever happened to me. :)

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?

Well, sorta kinda. My mother lives in my house, mostly for financial reasons. However she is healthy as a horse at 76 years old, and does not require physical care. She doesn't drive, and never has, so I do some taxi service for her. But I consider that negligible, and don't mind doing that for her.

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?

Always monthly! And that includes groceries, the pet store for pet food and kitty litter, and our prescriptions. With an occasional trip to the gas station for milk.

4. Yeah rock on
1. My favorite hangout is my own apartment. I'm a homebody, so it isn't just this particular apartment, but just wherever I live always tends to be my favorite place to kick back.

2. I just started "Red Rover" by Deirdre Mcnamer. I would like to finish a few others I have around the house like "The Real All-Americans" by Sally Jenkins and "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. I had to take "Girls of Riyadh" by Rajaa Alsanea back to the library, so I'd like to get that back and finish it. I want to read Rick Perlstein's books too.

3. No kids.

4. No I haven't. Not that I wouldn't I just never was in the position that it was needed.

5. Monthly, then I just make some trips here and there to pick up whatever.

6. Five more answers

1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)

* My apartment. I'm hardly ever there, but when I really need peace and quiet, this is the place. If I don't need peace and quiet, I go with a certain bar in Laurel, MD.

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?

* Nothing comes to mind.

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)

* N/A

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?

* No. I'd do it for my parents if necessary, but neither of them would ever allow it.

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?

* Weekly for food, once every other month for our survival kits.

8. Answers:
1.) Real Art Ways during Creative Cocktail Hour.

2.) I'm waiting on my Amazon order. Should be in tomorrow. The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle: A Novel by Haruki Murakami and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. by Mark Haddon.

3.) No kids. Not saying about surprises. Contemplating "the operation" so it's never a future issue.

4.) Yes.

5.) Daily ideally. I buy fresh what I need immediately to prepare what I'm cooking and only buy local. I don't buy "the major things" at all for the most part.

13. I sit up after midnight because I am such an insomniac.
My favorite hangouts are hermit type things too, like my bedroom or the PC. I get out once a week to a local bar just to get out and save my sanity.

But, the gossip and drama among management and staff gets pretty insane there too. And they can't figure out why they continue to lose customers. :eyes:

12. Answers:
1) Do you have a favorite hangout? (Inclusive of a bar, coffee shop, bookstore, home of a friend or relative, restaurant, etc.)
-- No. My city is too small to have a "hip" hangout. Otherwise, if I lived in a bigger city, my hangout would definitely be a bookstore.

2) Do you have any books in mind that you would like to read? Or on your "wish list" when you get the time?
-- I have a ton of books I want to read. Right now on my immediate list, I want to read the Sword of Truth series and The Wheel of Time series.

3) If you have children, was the pregnancy(s) planned? Or did you have any "surprises". (No need to say whether you followed through with the pregnancy, unless you want to.)
-- I don't have any children and I hope it stays that way.

4) Have you ever cared for or taken in an elderly relative?
-- No.

5) How often do you grocery shop for the major things? Weekly? Or monthly with intermittent trips for perishables?
-- I go grocery shopping about once a week. I'll get ~$75 worth of groceries whenever I go out.
