Grossest Movie scenes - list your top ones here
Edited on Mon Jul-14-08 10:33 AM by LynneSin
Just watched Trainspotting again and I can't think of anything grosser than when Renton loses 2 suppositories down the 'Worst Toilet in Scotland'. I can't even imagine Ewan MacGregor (who was awesome in the role of Mark Renton) filming that scene without gagging.

EDIT NOTE:

Here is the scene if you can stomach it. I read on IMDB trivia where that's actually chocolate used to make the toilet look 'crappy' and the room smelled quite nice.

Along with the Worst Toilet in Scotland scene, the second grossest scene comes fromt that movie when Spud wakes up and realizes he soiled himself. He tries to cover the evidence by sneaking out and taking the sheets with him but his girlfriend's mom insists on washing them and a tug-of-war leads the entire family of Spud's girlfriend being covered in shit.

9. I've seen John Waters discuss it in a documentary.
He claims she got worried she was going to get some parasite so later that night after they had shot that scene she called a hospital emergency room and explained that her "mentally challenged" relative ate poop and she was concerned and wanted to know the health repercussions.

11. I'm sure they can or at least they're trying to
I really didn't see the point of making it that disgusting myself. They could have done it a hundred different ways and we'd have all got it. If I see a guy get shot in the head in a movie and he falls over I get it, he's dead. So why does a movie director feel like they need to go way out of their way and show lots of blood and brain matter splattering all over the camera and half the guy's head blow off to really convince me?

17. Because that showed the brutality of what was happening in Uganda
You think that was a sick scene? Now multiply that by a few million and welcome to Uganda under Idi Amin rule.

16. I hated the last scene of "The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, His Lover" (or whatever it was called.)
I lost my appetite for two days after watching that. I'm not joking. I really didn't want to eat anything for a couple of days after I saw that movie.

19. And why is the slicing not on the DVD?!?
I remember the entire audience freaking out when Hannibal sliced off a little section of Ray's gray. Sure, the DVD shows the cooking, but not the slicing!
