4. No health insurance right now
Well, I do take that back, I just got my first post-college health insurance and the deductible is something obscene like $2500.

7. It's all over my body
Worst on my face, genitals, and feet.

I must have gotten it when I was clearing some weeds out a couple of days ago, although I thought I had been overly cautious actually in making sure that I did NOT get poison ivy.

12. That has to be awful for you.
Dh gets poison ivy really bad too. I see you don't have insurance, usually Dr's will work with you if you them know. Our Dr. charges about what he'd get from an HMO instead of his normal rate. Sometimes too they'll have samples of meds to give you if you don't have insurance.

There's an over the counter product called Ivy dry

20. Soak in water with epsom salt in it and put some ice on it
Everytime my friend's husband works in the yard, he doesn't get poison ivy but she gets it all over her. He must be immune to it but transfers it to her. I tell her, I hope it's worth it. :P

If it's any consolation, I had a friend who had a black widow spider bite down there. US Army. Ft. Polk Basic Training bivouac. Helicopter med-evaced. Treated with morphine. That fucking bad!
