Poll question: Wii Fit - sold new for $90, but not available for the moment... |
|
3rd party shops sell it new, unopened, for $160 - would you buy it?

Other online stores have it for $130 - but also say "out of stock".
:grr:
Other peoples' reviews say it's actually worth the money... :wow:
I'll see if I can wait. :D

The second and third rounds of these sorts of things are usually less buggy anyway.
Plus, when you see it in a store in six months for like $70 you'll be kicking yourself for spending more than twice that.

4. I agree... Having read more reviews, |
|
Wii Fit has it's place, more WILL come out, and some of those saying "it's worth twice retail" might have ulterior motives (they have a bunch to sell)
I can wait; everything I've read shows it is decent, particularly with yoga - something I've been told by many to do.
(that and various games utilizing it and rotating them... that's where Nintendo will shine, and their Wii Sports Boxing has already been a blessing... But I digress; Nintendo was on a brill idea with this tactic and will shine there. And not more Stupid Marzipan Bros games as they also seem to be hot to trot with...)

5. Just preorder at gamestop |
|
I preordered when the site said the next shipment was due in a week, but two days later the UPS guy was knocking on my door. Set it and forget it.

9. My dad ordered it for $90 there. |
|
Why $150? You can't get it around here either. My preorder was in the second shipment of preorders and I did my order the last week of April.
Thank you. My birthday was back in May, right on time for the release. :)

11. The Fry's Electronics near me has a stack of them, so it's not like... |
|
...they'll be in long-term short supply. The Wii console itself is still unobtainable, of course, but all the peripherals and add-ons seem to make it to market in reasonable numbers.

12. "Sorry, the item is sold out" online |
|
I've seen lots of Wii consoles- bought one new; just the Fit peripheral being nowhere. :(

13. Fry's online is a joke. The charmless ineptitude... |
|
...that typifies the Fry's instore experience has been fully translated to the web. Whatever stock-and-order systems they use, the online and store ones bear little relation to each other. You basically have to go to your local store and see what's washed up on the shelves. If there's no store nearby, you're out of luck. :(

16. I just bought 2 at list |
|
One for my family, and one for a buddy of mine. I put us on the waiting list last week at a local family owned store - they said that there were 20 units spoken for ahead of us, but maybe the nice review I gave them online bumped me up on the list. :)
