How hard is it for you to find shoes that fit? I have a terrible time; |
high arch, narrow heel & wide instep.

1. You have the same kind of foot I do. |
And I wear between a women's 12 and 12 1/2 depending upon the shoe.
UGH.

4. I go to Nordstrom Rack. |
Even in their close out section, they seem to have a variety of shoes that work for me. For sneakers, I just buy men's. I really like Chuck Taylor high tops, and they are really comfortable.

7. dang - I sometimes have to go to a 12 especially if they are on the cheaper end |
hard to find - you must really have a hard time I just mostly avoid shoes if I can and go barefoot, or $5 throw away flip flops. I did find some stinky tevas through zappos after about 3 tries - have you tried them?

but you can order a bunch and send the rejects back free after you try them in the comfort of you home - that I like. a LOT.

15. I love Zappos. Usually next day delivery and free return if it doesn't fit. |
Once you find a make of shoe that fits you, if Zappos carries it you'll never have to go shoe shopping again.

5. I just can't find any that are comfortable! |
They are OK for awhile, but after a few hours, my feet are killing me. I mostly wear Skechers. Having to "dress up" is totally traumatic.
I have dozens of shoes I can only wear while sitting down.

9. HAving a wide foot means that I must order my shoes from Zappos and |
the like. The problem is that I run 7 1/2 to 8 depending on the shoe. For some reason, NONE of the Naturalizer shoes fit me and I've gone through the entire size range from 7 to 8 1/2. The shoe repair store here in town has an old poster showing that feet may be the same length but that the arch location can shift. In other words, you and I may both measure a size 7, but the ball of my foot won't align with the ball of your foot if we placed our feet side by side.

14. I don't understand that - they don't fit me either. |
good shoes but too narrow. Never thought about differing structure other than length and width but that sure makes sense.

I've gotten picked on before for how narrow my feet are. I think I've had problems with loafers and Doc Martins but dress shoes are easy and I just lace my tennis shoes tighter.
