My knee looks like a grapefruit...
the P.A. at the orthopedics office is sending me for an MRI. She thinks I tore the medial meniscus...it HURTS, that's for damn sure.
If it's torn, I'm probably going to need an arthroscopy. Great timing since we are moving in less than two weeks, my husband just left his job
and the COBRA package hasn't arrived yet. We have to pay out of pocket until we can get COBRA coverage and then get reimbursed.

Did I mentions that the payments for the coverage will be over $1100/month for us? Fan-fuckin-tastic! :(

Ouch.

6. Thanks, I just wanted a little sympathy.
I had ice on it earlier and they put me on Vicodin, which is finally kicking in.
I have stomach issues, so I can't take much advil...:-(

Of the physical AND financial variety. Sorry you have to deal with this - hope you get fixed up and pain free ASAP!

7. Thanks, Madrone.
I know it could be worse. It's just bad timing too. I'll get it fixed and get reimbursed eventually.
And as I mentioned above, the vicodin is finally kicking in! :-) Hallelujah.

3. I'd reply more thoroughly...

but having had that exact injury my eyes are welling up at the thought of it and I can barely see the screen.

Edit: You have my sympathy.

5. Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to upset you. It sure hurts doesn't it?

8. It's okay...
like I said...you've got my sympathy. It sucked. Not helpful was my orthopedic surgeon who needed lessons in tact and bedside manner.

9. Many a surgeon could use those lessons. I think the personality of most
surgeons tends to be perfectionistic and impatient. Not as warm as some other specialties.
It sucks that you're feelings got bruised along with your knee. :pals:
