Anyone watching John McCain's bio on MSNBC?
I still cannot believe GOPers chose shrub over McCain - a true war hero. I know we are not supposed to say much good about pubs, but I respect McCain as a fellow veteran, and a war hero.

1. He is very likable
I saw him on the Daily Show and he does have a sense of humor, which just makes him more likable.

And you're right, comparing him to Bush is like comparing a Ferrari to my dad's 87 Lynx.

2. VietCong offered him immediate release as the Admiral's son
McCain refused them a propoganda victory and unfair treatment over his fellow POW's.
He was beaten brutally in return.

I could cry that the AWOL shrub won over this fine, exceptional man.
