8. oh they aren't free, they totally screwed my daughter
she cancelled, and they reactivated her because she clicked on an email 6 months later. Oh, and instead of 9.95 mo, it became 19.95 mo. She is reporting them to the State Attorney General for deceptive business practices.

26. Did you know you are entitled to one really free copy of your credit report each year?
You just have to request it from one of the three credit agencies that keep tabs on our credit ratings and they will send it to you. No strings attached.

12. I HATE that one - the fish restaurant one is sort of funny, esp.
the older couple bobbing their heads to the music as they chew. But the dream girl one pisses me off.

And how come the commercials only have guys lamenting their credit fate? Are guys supposedly more careless about their credit?

33. Uhm, it's not always credit cards.
One of my buds married a woman who didn't tell him that she was defaulted on nearly $100k in debt until AFTER they exchanged vows. We're talking everything from student loans, to credit cards, to a brand new car. He filed for an annullment claiming fraud, but ended up having to divorce her because of some legal technicality or another. She tried to paint him as a heartless monster who only cared about money while at the same time trying to seize a large chunk of his assets. After only a few months of marriage, the judge wasn't having any of it, and they both walked away with the assets (and debts) they came into the marriage with. Even so, he still gets calls from bill collectors today trying to get money from her.

It's wasn't about money, it was about honesty, with a healthy dose of "lack of responsibility" tossed in. She bought that new car when she was unemployed and KNEW she couldn't make the payments, and then never made a single one. Would you really want to be married to a person like that? I wouldn't.

25. It wasn't my fault.
Edited on Wed Jul-16-08 10:54 PM by Lasher
I ran out of gas. I, I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake. A terrible flood. Locusts. IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD.

Besides, I sprained my pinkie on my left hand and won't be able to play my guitar for 6 weeks. Ever try to type with a 2X4 strapped to your hand? :-(

in the used car commercial at the very end when he's done singing and start bobbing his head, I find myself wanting to smack the shit out of him on general principle.

29. I can take the Pirate and Used Car adds , but
the other piece of drivel has got to be one of the most sexist things I have seen lately ... and I did not even support Hillary!

Not to mention the fact that he blames her and sits around takin up space w/ his no talent group while she is at least doing the chores picking up their dirty shit.
I hadn't seen it in a long time after they came out with those other two, but now they play it the whole damn time.

:grr:
