Eye update

Tommorrow I go to the retina specialist yet one more time so I can get in another $30 copay before eye surgery on Friday.

The last two visits, he has had to use ultrasound to look at the retina because ther is so much blood in my eye let fro the retinal tears (5 in all) that he can't see through it to the back of the eye. And guess what? I CAN"T SEE OUT EITHER! For the last tow weeks I have not been able to see out of my left eye, but the blood was supposed to disipate on its own. So the doctor wasn't too concerned, because the ultrasounds showed that the retina was in tact. The fact that {I can't see and IT HURTS LIKE HELL is only consequential.

Friday I am going to have surgery to remove the blood ans stabilize the retina and stop the bleeding unless I can somehow convice him to do it tommorrow ... which is not likely, so I will have to drive back down to Dallas (well, my wife will). We may just get a room down there.

Anyway, I had Mrs A. take a before picture.

I figure it might come in handy when I'm trying to get my financing back in place for the rest of the school year. (I lost it for the summer because I had to drop courses and take some incompletes. All my professors and staff in my dept. have been great!)

Haven't heard from you in a while. I was just thinking about Millsaps before I sat down here. How are things in Mississippi. I think we are going to be over there Christmas ... my mother in law turns 80 this Christmas Eve.

8. Good news is: people are FINALLY starting to get pissed at Haley Barbour!

Bad news is, it's hotter than hell and the economy sucks. Since thats pretty the case every summer I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Took a "Master Gardener" course recently and one of our classmates was a Millsaps grad (she remembered me, I didn't have a clue who she was :shrug: )

Let us know if you come for Christmas. Maybe we could meet in Jackson for drinks. And man, again-good luck with that eye. I was plagued with frequent sties and very weak eyes in my youth and I know how it can hurt. Take care....
