... to younger, more attractive people?

Models, trophy spouses, dimwitted news anchors (teleprompter readers), etc. Whenever I hear they have been dumped for a younger version of themselves I couldn't care less. Anyone that gets where they are based solely on physical appearance, should expect to be replaced when the one quality they used starts to fade.

1. I feel bad if that's the only trait they thought they could develop,
or if that was the only trait that other people chose to value.

But if someone is arrogant and shallow because of their good looks then I'm right there with you.
