1. I love how he's continuing the recent trend...

...of celebs smiling in their mug shots, because (the theory goes) this makes for a more appealing and benign, far less haggard and embarrassing image when it gets posted all over the internet. However, in Dick's case, he merely ends up looking creepy as all hell-- as someone put it yesterday, he looks like Lon Chaney in "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde."

This guy is heading downhill fast. Then again, I said that a few years ago, and he still seems to be out and about, getting wasted and causing real trouble. Has he ever been in rehab? Long ago, I admired his off-beat comedic talents. Now I just think he's sick, and needs to be off the streets for a long time. Frankly, I have no sympathy for him, as he seems to feel completely entitled to his destructive actions. Compared to Robert Downey Jr., whose substance-abuse problems hurt mainly himself, and who spent a relatively long time in jail, Dick is out there constantly assaulting other people. Major asshole.

...reading about this trend in the last few years, and how it was a direct response to the reality of your celeb mug shot being posted all over the world within hours, and the best way for you to come off looking as good (or as innocent) as possible.

McQueen, I imagine, was just being McQueen, back in the day. He was one cool-ass daddy-o, baby!
