Spring has Sprung and I can prove it!
I live in Aurora Illinois and there are currently about 2000 geese in the wetland across the road from my house. They are on their migration back North.

3. Are you sure about the geese?
Here in oklahoma we have the year round. At around sundown, we have to hide under the porch because they all fly from the lake to the west of us at my bf's house, to the east behind the house. There's a huge field where they sleep every night. No one and nothing is safe. It's like someone rattling off a machine gun...it's hilarious....

4. Here in Northern Illinois
they are all gone before December 23rd and generally aren't back until March.

This morning, there were at least 3000.

Oh, and my wife's crocuses are poking their little heads out of the flower bed.

We had a goddam blizzard that dropped three feet of snow in 24 hours. May you all receive the same, you cheerful sons of bitches.

13. Well...
Sadly, she passed on about three years ago.

Mimi was an amazing bunny--she had an IQ of around 650 and the disposition of an irritable tigress. She didn't mind being petted, but you had to catch her first--and she could MOVE. Chances are she'd growl at you, then turn her back and contemplate the wall, a practice known as Giving the Royal Bunny Butt (RBB).

I really miss her. For all her grumpiness, she was a sweet creature. She lived with us for over nine years!

18. Aw, not to worry...
She lived a long life and pretty much had things her way. We have two other bunnies now and will undoubtedly have others to fill our lives.

9. Spring sprung in Tacoma, WA area!
We have several crocus blooming out front right now! Little purple ones.. the birds are singing beautifully, and the trees and shrubs are all budding with leaves and future flowers. I've been up here since August, from California, and I have to say.. I absolutely love the weather here.. we've had snow and rain and clouds and sun and.. you name it! I was warned that I'd be ready to kill someone by February because of the weather.. I'm not homocidal in the least.. lovin it!! In California, I didn't really care about spring.. there were two seasons where I lived: Summer, which meant fog and breeze or searing heat. And winter.. where you add a sweater to your shorts and flip flops. I love the distinct seasons up here. Can't wait for all of spring to spring.. so I can enjoy the flowers that are so abundant here.

I live in Kansas and that was my first of the year...It makes me so happy. Who's ready for some good old spring thunderstorms? (nothing severe, just loud and rumbly and wet)

16. It will probably be a few more weeks for spring in WI
I live in the cold Artic northland. My grandfather asked me one June if the igloos had melted yet. Strangely, some longtime WI residences are able to recount a June where it was snowing.

It's very nice. I took several long walks this weekend, and took time to examine most of the lovely plants while I was out. :-)

19. It's getting to be springtime in Soviet Canuckistan, too.
I do believe we've turned the corner from winter into early spring. The trees are definitely budding out, and the temperature has been above freezing during the day (at least) almost every day this week. The snow is melting a little more every day (increasing the general handicap-friendliness of the environment, yaay!). This is early for us, but I don't mind.

The most important sign is, my cat is shedding like crazy. Warm weather, here we come!! (I hope.)

We just had a three-foot blizzard in NS--dumped twice the normal monthly snowfall in 24 hr. That stuff's gonna be here in August!!!!

Spring. Pfui. This winter will never end. Never. It's here for good. Game over.

21. Eat. Shit. And. DIE!!!
Cold, dreary, rainy, gray, bleak, depressing, kill-yourself-now weather. x( Every day for WEEKS. No end in sight.

Spring has sprung, my ass!!

:grr: :grr: :grr: :grr: :grr:

You smell tulips! Go to hell!!

:argh: :argh: :argh: :argh: :argh:

Spring is never coming back! It's just like in that C.S. Lewis book where the wicked witch made it always winter!! It's gone forever!! Forever!! Forever! There will be no election in November. It's going to be weather just like this, and whistle-ass will still be in office, in June. And then July. And then August. It'll still be rainy and dreary in November. And May of next year. And July 2007. And on and on. Until I DIE!! SPRING WILL NEVER COME AGAIN!!!
