(Michael J.) Fox Back With A Future
Fox has had Parkinson's since '91. This is great news.

By Mike Parker

HOLLYWOOD actor Michael J Fox is making a comeback to the screen after doctors told him his Parkinson’s disease is medically controlled enough for him to work again.

Fox, who starred in the Back To The Future film trilogy, will appear as a new character in the hugely successful US TV series Rescue Me.

He was offered the recurring role by Denis Leary, star and co-creator of the comedy drama.

Fox, 47, revealed his condition in 1998 and two years later said he was semi-retiring from acting.

Now friends say a new medication regime has dramatically improved his health.

One said yesterday: “Michael is thrilled about the chance of appearing regularly in a show again.”

2. I really enjoyed his brief role on Boston Legal.
He's always been a great actor, and I have tremendous respect for him for beginning work again after all he's been through.

5. Wow. I was wondering about him the other day...
I had a bad feeling, because I hadn't heard anything about/from him for months and months. I was afraid his Parkinson's had become very, very bad. Glad to hear otherwise!
