1. I daresay that FireFox, period, sux
:P

I've used Opera since version 3.5 (it's at 9.51 now) and am always amazed at how many things it does naturally that were copied by all the rest. And, when you shut it down, you don't lose all your tabbed windows and you don't have to tell it to keep them, either :D

7. Opera is okay, but it's nowhere near as customizable as Firefox...
Plus you used to have to pay for it, so that gave me an longlasting grudge.

20. It has all the customizing capability I need.
I noticed in the early days of Firefox that it was most popular with code-monkeys and the open-source minions. I do not code and have never liked doing so when put in that situation. I do not like having to edit ini-files and would much rather customize with a dialogue box, as with Opera.

Also, I didn't mind paying for it way back when, since I was getting such a better browsing experience than anyone else could offer at that time :)

It's still the best browser out there :D

22. The customizability has nothing to do with writing code at this point.

There are so many great add-ons you can download, many of which I'm not sure I'd survive without anymore, haha.

24. I'm happy with Opera.
Every time I've attempted to figure out Firefox, it has led to far more frustration than it's worth.

I've heard of and seen some of the "add-ons" as well as the "widgets" bit that Opera uses and none of it is necessary for my browsing. I like it basic, not with lots of bells and whistles ;)

8. The previous versions ALWAYS crashed on me, but 3 has been solid.

Must be some other stuff on your machine it doesn't play well with. I was not a huge fan of pre-3 releases, but I like 3 a lot. It's much quicker and (while still a bit of a hog), they seem to have resolved some of the memory issues.

9. Hasn't crashed on me once ...

The only problem I've had with it is the flash plug-in, which isn't precisely Mozilla's fault.

10. That's why I like to be a late adopter.

I'm still using 2, and I'm willing to wait and make sure the bugs get worked out.

Just like I was still using Windows 95 when 98 came out, and 98 SE as an operating system when XP came out, and now that Vista's out I'm still using XP. :)

18. Firefox 3 doesn't work for me either.
Tried it upgrading over 2.x Tried a clean installation. Both were horrendously slow.

Hell with it. Firefox 2 still works great.
