Who agrees Aaron Eckhart is the Paul Dano of The Dark Knight? |
By that I mean the guy who gave one hell of a performance but was completely ignored due to his overshadowing by the absolutely incomparable performance elsewhere in the film. By that I obviously mean Heath Ledger and Daniel Day Lewis respectively. Both were so great in their respective films you didn't notice just how good Eckhart and Dano were as well.

1. I thought the whole cast of The Dark Knight was good. |
But Eckhart was a particular standout. I can't imagine how touch it was to try to sell that kind of character transformation, but he succeeded...at least for me.

I'm hoping that the character isn't actually dead as the movie implied - I went in thinking that they would be setting up the next film with Two-Face as the primary villain.

5. No, I'm referring to his role in There Will Be Blood |
Dano gave a great performance in that movie too, but was quite overshadowed. Just like Eckhart and Ledger.

4. I really like Aaron Eckhart - he was great in "Thank You for Smoking" |
and I'm glad to see he's getting more roles. Haven't seen TDK, though.
