NBC Destroyed The Fourth Hour of The Today Show

The fourth hour of the Today Show was destroyed when NBC executives decided to hire Kathy Lee Gifford. She is just so stupid. The fourth hour seems to be the hour that is supposed to be a little light, but Gifford just makes it too light. Today there was a discussion on the hair cuts of different women. After showing the hair cuts of different women Hota Kotb started saying some things and then Gifford pulled out a piece of her hair extensions. By the time of the commerical Kotb seemed to look like she was having a horrible day and wished she could go back to the days when she hosted the show with Ann Curry and Gida De Laurentis. Stuff like this seems to happen everday with Kathy Lee Gifford. Everyday she just seems to act so stupid. When Ann Curry and Gida De laurentis hosted the show with Hoda Kotb, even though the show was supposed to be light hearted there was a level of class and seriousness to the show.

At one time Barbara Walters spoke to world leaders live on that show. So did Brokaw and for crying out loud Jane Pauley was the host.

There was a reason I didn't watch Regis and Kathy Lee, and now I won't watch the end of the Today Show. She acted like a complete ass last week when they had a doctor on talkin' about something that had to do with men's sexual function, if I remember correctly. I saw about 3 minutes of it. Poor Hota was mortified and it was obvious there was no way to salvage the conversation.

She's a nasty arrogant, no-talent hack with rocks for brains who clearly thinks waaay more of herself than she should.

6. Show Getting Better

I for a while had been watching more and more of GMA. I started last year and was surprised at how good the show had gotten. I think I even posted on DU at least once that I thought GMA was getting better than the Today Show. However, recently I have just been watching tidbits of the shows and every now and then I check into the fourth hour of the Today Show. However, since they hired Kathy Lee Gifford I have been very disappointed in the show. I really wish they would go back to the era of Ann Curry and Gida De Laurentis. That time period also included Natalie Morales.
