It's noon and I just woke up.
My pains at 5am were bad enough that I took another round of muscle relaxants, thinking I'd be knocked out for an hour or two, but I'd still make it to work.

I struggled to wake up at noon. Have you ever been in a situation where it was difficult to force yourself to wake up?

I found messages that there was an emergency at work that normally I would have handled. My boss took care of it. I've spoke to him and he's cool with what happened, I think. He's generally pretty understanding about the trouble of handling all this constant and/or random pain.

I'm still having muscle spasms and it's time for my next round of meds anyway, so I'm going to be knocked out again in about half an hour. :(

Anyway, :grouphug: I'll see all of you later when I wake up later. Hopefully these painful spasms will be calmed down by then and my pain will finally get (and stay) below a 7.

2. Hi Malta Blue,
I hope I wake up again soon. :P

Thank you.

I can deal with a hell of a lot of pain, but when the muscle spasms kick in, especially the severe, violent spasms, I'll do anything to make them stop. If that means missing the entire day, including a day of work, then that has to be an acceptable cost. I don't think I have any choice. :(

5. Thank you, Writer

I really, really hope these spasms end. It would be nice to feel like I'm not getting beaten with a club from the inside. x(

4. Our bedroom has only one window.
It's often difficult to determine what time of day it is by the light shining in. I'm very sensitive to the sun's position in the sky to determine time of day. That window fools me, makes the bedroom dark even when the sun is up. It will be dark in the bedroom and I'll think it's a cloudy rainy day, which always makes me want to sleep in.

6. Wow. That has to really throw you off.
My room is not that bad, but because I'm on a street level apartment we always keep the blinds closed, so it's a similar effect. We can't see the sky. :(

8. Sorry you are in so much pain.

I had chronic pain for a while, I know it's not on the level of yours, it seems to have dissipated. I didn't know what was causing it, but I focused on determining where the pain was coming from and what was causing it, once I had a grasp of that, it seemed to be not so bad.

7. I know the feeling well
Although my pain is not quite in the same category as yours..There literally was a day last week when I dragged myself out of bed and even off to work..and even on Saturday..all I wanted was to stay in bed all day..(I felt that shitty) yet because of housesitting and other important things I had to do (like get some bills off that were due) I had to get out...
I'm glad you have an understanding boss..I do..to some extent..

9. I have been thinking about you recently
and hoping you were doing okay. How are you?

I think I had a small dream set at LynneSin's house and our group was all there. That's what got me thinking. I get very realistic dreams like that sometimes under these meds. :)

If I can get my pain down from 7 to at least 5 I can sort of function. If I can get it down to 4 without being too medicated then I'll be golden. :)

12. I wish I could say better
But I'm in a better mood, thanks to a surprise chat with a good friend that I haven't heard from for awhile.
But my condition is not good. Waiting for the next shoe to drop...:-(

17. I hope that other shoe stays where it belongs.
:(

I don't actually know what your condition is, or what it means, but it hasn't sounded good. I hope the specialists you saw can really help you.

I'm fortunate, in a small way, that all of my situations are painful but not otherwise harmful. I could end up living a very, very long healthy life, just with a lot of pain. One of my doctors liked to use the expression, "It's nothing serious, just painful."

I really hope your condition improves.

It's now 6:30 pm and I just woke up again. I've been awake less than 2 hours this entire day so far. I hope this straightens itself out. :)

15. I promise you that I'll certainly do my best.

I just woke up again, and my cramps and spasms have finally eased up. I feel almost human. But I got far too much sleep, and that's making me dizzy and disoriented. :P

16. Hi MissMillie!
:loveya:

It's now evening, and I've been awake a total of almost 2 hours today. Watch, I'll have insomnia tonight because I got so much sleep. :P

I'm trying my best to take care of myself, but it's getting surreal. :)
