Have you written an entire snarky reply and then just hit the previous page? |
|
I did it this morning. Something someone said got my dander up (as gramma use to say). I wrote an entire diatribe about it and then figured that it would only make me look bitchy so I said the heck with it and hit the previous page button.
Have you ever done that?

Sometimes it's wisest to remain silent, and not just when in police custody. I've occasionally gotten all my venom out, and then realized that I wasn't going to change anyone's mind. In that case backing out gracefully frees me from any need to apologize for my intemperate language later.

At least once. Usually it's not that I think I'll be perceived "bitchy", but that the person I'm responding to/against is someone I like and think highly of.

I often feel better after writing the long snarky response, but I don't actually feel the need to post it and pour fuel on the flame war.
