Could anyone who owns a Kindle answer a couple questions for me? |

Edited on Tue Jul-22-08 01:56 PM by leeroysphits
How well can it handle Large .TXT or .RTF formats? Can I specify page size for those files and still read them like a book with bookmarks, page numbers etc...?
How is the battery life? How does it handle various lighting conditions?
TIA for your thoughts.

and the text size for any document is settable. There are 6 font sizes, the biggest of which is quite large.
It doesn't use page numbers, though, because of the variable font size. It uses a different scheme called "locations".
The battery life is pretty good, especially if you don't keep the wireless turned on and receive a lot of stuff wirelessly.
The best part about it is the screen - you can read it in bright, full sunlight, which you can't do on most anything else. In dim light, it's like reading a regular book; if its' too dark for you to read a book, it's too dark for you to read a kindle. The screen isn't backlit.
