The appropriate number of signatures have been received. The young people who organized it said they just want to focus on the actions of Bush over the past seven-plus years.

Look for it on the ballot. It has a chance of passing. CNN says only 9% of voters are Bay Area Republicans.

Will you be voting?

1. I don't want that asshole's name anywhere in my hood.
They can dedicate a port-o-pottie for that shithead instead.

7. The pump station is in my neighborhood and I drive by there a few times a week.
It's situated next to the SF Zoo and overlooks the Pacific Ocean.

That's a water molecule, and you're welcome:)

9. Ah-HA! Two atoms of hydrogen, and one atom of oxygen?
I know just where you are. Beautiful place SFO -- we go there every time we can.

Thanks so much! :loveya:

14. OK. What is that pink stuff? Maybe I don't want to know!

That picture is full of SH**... literally.

Thanks for the photo. It's nice to know where our effluent goes when we flush.

Clearly, that's not what happened to the little guy in the movie "Finding Nemo" -- As I recall, thousands of children thought they were sending their fish out to freedom by flushing them down the toilet!

I was a good mother, 'though. I only flushed the DEAD goldfish!

But we did have a funeral for one Siamese fighting fish. We laid him in a matchbox and buried him. RIP, Little Swimmer.

2. Uh,
Isn't a sewage plant where they clean things up? It should be a GWB port-a-potty that is full of shit and smells like hell.

3. Some SF progressives are against this
seeing as how a sewage plant is, you know, useful. :P

4. LOL! My husband's mother used to say this:
The more you stir shit, the more it stinks.

Not exactly on topic, but close -- and pretty expressive in some situations.

8. Only San Francisco voters will get to vote on this one
SF is about 10 percent of the Bay Area population however.

It is true that about 10 percent of SF voters are Republicans.

In the Bay Area as a whole, the split is more like 70-30 in favor of Democrats.

I'm not so sure that this measure will pass, in that it's gimmicky and will actually have the effect of naming something after him.

11. CNN posed it that way, but the serious message from the framers of the
measure was that this would help people remember all the dreadful deeds of this Administration. There were also discussions of the extra $50,000 or so that would be required to change the name of the facility and all of its accompanying forms and documentation.

Surely you are right... it might not pass. The subject was treated in a fairly straight-forward but light-hearted fashion on CNN today.

Thanks for your post.
