My oldest and most wonderful cat (if you tell the others I said that, I'll deny it), is in the hosp. |
|
He was acting like his flutd was maybe flaring, so I took him for a urinalysis. At 8 this morning, and he still hadn't peed at closing time. So, he's in overnight. The vet tech says it's not unusual for cats to go this long without peeing, but it worries me.

3. We know he has flutd, and urinary tract infections can be part of that. |

He was doing a lot of licking under his tail, which has been a warning sign in the past. Could be infection, could be crystals, could be extra dirty down there, could've been pleasuring himself. I'm gonna let the vet decide.

Our Fergie had that problem and lived to be 19 - so there is hope for a long life for your kitty.

6. He blocked completely a year ago, but has been trouble-free since then. |
|
Some worrisome behaviors in the last few days, and I do not want him to block again.
Good to hear how well yours did! Thanks!!

11. hope he is OK. One of mine only pees once a day and he floods the |
|
cat box when he does. But I have been through the feline utd with two other cats and it is not a good thing
