7. I saw him one night on Austin City Limits
It was right before their first album came out. He was rocking that thing like Jerry Lee Lewis rocked the piano. My husband (another bass player) was asleep at the time and I grabbed the first tape I could find to record it for him. I was an instant fan, and after my husband saw the tape the next morning, so was he.
