Speidi: The More You Hate the More We Make

We live in a world where Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt can afford to buy a $12 million beach home in Malibu.

We didn't believe it when we saw the video of the couple we love to hate as they went house shopping yesterday in the Bu. They looked at two homes: the aforementioned $12 mil beach house (also for rent for $90k a month) and a 10,000 sq. ft. estate with an asking price of more than $15 mil.

So we thought it was a big publicity stunt, until we called the realtor who showed the property. Sandro Dazzan says they're "serious buyers," although he doesn't think they'll pull the trigger right away. Dazzan stunned us when he said they can afford the $12 million beach house right now, but that they're "at least six months" out from being able to afford the bigger house.

How's that for closure.

You would have gotten 50 responses in the first five minutes about how it's none of your business how people spend their hard earned dollars. Hilarity would then ensue.

5. I had that happen one time when I posted some snarky Trader Joe's comments

I ranted about standing in line with a $2.99 bottle of all-purpose cleaner while the woman in front of me was paying for a shopping cart FULL of yuppie items like six-dollar tiny "personal pizzas" and stuff.

One DUer just let the flood gates loose, telling me that she shouldn't have to live in abject poverty and deprive herself of the rewards she's EARNED (like personal pizzas, I guess).

I replied with something like "Where in my original post did I mention you" and left it at that.

There will never be a shortage of people on DU who enjoy climbing up other DUer's asses. NEVER.

7. They're from an MTV "reality show" called "The Hills"...

...which, thank God, I've never seen.

Their main claim to fame is that the "celebrity gossip" blogs like The Superficial and TMZ love to mercilessly flog their vapidity. Pratt commented on this in a recent Rolling Stone article, saying that the "haters" love to sit in cubicles and hate him and wish that they WERE him.

I can't share any more with you or my head will explode.
