I just paid $3.59 for gas!!!! |
|
Edited on Fri Jul-25-08 04:07 PM by Midlodemocrat
:wow:
Last week it was $4.19.
I knew Bush and Cheney would rescue us.
Also, on my way to the Toyota Dealership because Dumbass, I mean, TM took out her side mirror backing out of the garage, she's currently 2 for 3, I saw a restaurant called Magoo's.
I saw a red approximately '66 Chevelle all jacked up like a monster truck. I would have needed a ladder to get into it.
I saw an old woman give someone the finger at a stop light.
Saw two people who had run out of gas.
Still can't decide what to make for dinner.

14. It was really weird, because I was driving down a major |
|
road here, Think Route 5, and the prices were dropping by a dime or so every corner.
When I got to the store I was headed for, I saw that Kroger had gas for $3.69 :wow: With my Kroger card, it was $3.59. I haven't paid that for a long time.

18. We noticed, when we came up there a lot, |
|
that it was much higher in New Haven County, than Fairfield County. :wow:
This was WAY before gas got this high, though. Back around 2002-2004.

down in Fairfield than in New Haven.
I live and work in New Haven County and I had to travel a lot down to Fairfield County recently and it was $0.20 cents higher down there.

It was ridiculous. When I think what I paid for my tiny little apartment in the eighties, wow.

|
It was 4.99.999 here a few weeks ago, its still $4.80 and when I had to go to San Diego I had to search for a place where it was under $5.09.

23. It's 4.33 in LA's San Fernando Valley |
|
More expensive in other parts of LA. It's pretty lame considering how much driving I have to do this month. Still, I've cut out unnecessary driving and slowed down. Slowing down really seems to have saved me a decent amount of gas!

25. I just drove by a quick shop that had gas for 3.79 |
|
yep....the govt started hurting because less driving meant less gas, meaning less tax $$, they just pushed to see how high they could go before the breaking point, everyone should still continue driving very little and maybe it will go down even further....they mess with our minds, we should mess with theirs haha.

27. Not to piss on your good fortune, but isn't it pathetic to be thrilled at even that price? |
|
It is all relative afterall.
Of course it is much higher than where I live. I just object to the conditioning the high prices have brought us to.
