2. I'll always be a Marxist.
I don't know what they have to say,
it makes no difference anyway -
whatever it is, I'm against it!
No matter what it is or who commenced it,
I'm against it!

Your proposition may be good,
but let's have one thing understood -
whatever it is, I'm against it!
And even when you've changed it or condensed it,
I'm against it!

I'm opposed to it.
On general principles I'm opposed to it.

For months before my son was born,
I used to yell from night to morn -
"Whatever it is, I'm against it!"
And I've kept yelling since I first commenced it,
"I'm against it!"

19. "In heaven's name ... NO!" is a phrasing that might save you

from getting a polite brush-off that means "Good-bye forever." Some people take their religion very seriously indeed and will not stand for casual use of the word "hell" as an intensifier that makes no reference to an underworld.

13. If you disagree, then I am wrong ...
and the fairest thing would be for me to die defending your right to disagree.

25. Only if John calls.
Or Elvis.

Actually, I got that phrase from an old timer in NH who I phone banked while working for Edwards. He sounded just like that Pepridge Farms guy when he said to me, "If you want my vote, then never call me."
