Most of them don't know beans about what their book of rules, the Bible says about lending. The book of Leviticus forbids the charging of any interest to a loan. What it says is if you have the means, and if a neighbor is in need, you give them what they need. If it is paid back, well and good. But charging interest is anathema.
Most of those so-called flag-bearing, bible totin' fundies don't know squat about their bible...
Makes me sick.
