Just saw the Public Theater's revival of Hair in Central Park this weekend
And for those of you who, like me, are a certain age,

Hair is 41 years old this year. I won't say it's like yesterday -- it isn't -- but, hey, I can remember being as limber as those actors! Two-thirds of the audience on Friday may not have been born when Hair made its debut.

Just can't stop the lyrics from running through my head:

When the moon is in the seventh house
and Jupiter aligns with Mars
The peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars

this is the dawning of the age of Aquarius
the age of Aquarius

Aquarius
Aquarius

harmony and understanding
sympathy and trust abounding
no more falsehoods or derisions
golden living dreams of visions
mystic crystals revelations
and the minds true liberation

Aquarius
Aquarius

And, with a self-edit:

Prisoners in N-town
It's a dirty
little war
Three Five Zero Zero
Take weapons up and begin to kill
Watch the long long
armies drifting home
<Repeat>

Some of the most unshakable earworms around...

1. Wow, times have changed a bit..but peace is still possible, if enough of us choose it.
