5. They are silly boys
Mouse will tire of it sooner than Reese, and then Mouse will growl and hiss at Reese, and stalk out of the room.

Then Reese will come to me for cuddles to get over his hurt feelings.

9. No he keeps them for himself
He's an outdoor cat in my little condo community that everyone takes turns taking care of. He's domesticated enough to pet, but feral enough to eat a bird. I thought about adopting him at one point, but then it occurred to me that he probably would prefer the great outdoors to being couped up in my little 600 square foot condo. The community takes care of him though. He's well fed and seems happy enough.

7. two on the bed
Two are lying there with their eyes open waiting for me to lay down (I usually go to bed by like 11:00 so they're all "where's Mama!?")
One is in his chair in the living room because he won't hang out in the bedroom :(

13. I have been doing pretty well.
We had a thunderstorm today and I'm not a crumpled wreck. I'm actually feeling fairly human. The morning was painful, but the day got better. :)

I give all the credit to the puppy that my nephew and I are dog-sitting. I've spent a hell of a lot of time laying on the floor with that puppy, and taking naps with the puppy curled up with me. So I haven't been on my feet much, or trying to do anything strenuous.

I'm pleasantly covered in puppy slobber. My cats are jealous, so every chance they get they're showering me with affection to prove that they love me more than the dog does. So I'm absolutely covered in kisses and fur.

I used to be very alergic to dogs. Maybe I still am. But I take prescription antihistamines several times per day, so that's got to be helping. It's wondeful being able to be around a dog without being miserable.

Then, I got to talk to CaliforniaPeggy on the phone this evening. She's coming to our NYC meetup next month.

How are you doing? I hope your weekend was as good as mine.

24. Having babies...
... before anyone starts lecturing, I foster cats for a 501c3 cat rescue. These girls were "in a family way" when we rescued them from a colony on a farm... not only will the moms get spayed prior to adoption, all the kittens will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption, too!

Now that I have that disclaimer out of the way... we're having lots of kittens this month!

26. loverly loverly little mommies and babies.
last weekend I was blockwalking for our Demo State Rep's reelection campaign and we stopped at this one house that had a 'cat window' It was actually one of those greenhouse windows, a nice tall one, that the homeowner had converted into a cat window by strategically placing one of those carpeted cat jungle gyms in the room so that some of the little perches were IN the part of the window that stuck out. So there were 3 cats lounging in the partial sun enjoying the view.

This lady fosters pets, and a couple of the cats were fosters. So you might want a pet window.

Good on you for fostering these mommie cats
