A long timer told me that when I asked about dating web sites. Well, let me tell you, there are plenty of folks here who I would like to boink, but you fuckers are just too damned far away. My penis does not reach across state lines no matter how much I wish it would. Personally, as far as dating goes, I prefer to go to web sites who advertise themselves as dating web sites and who have women there who live close by. How many of you are here in the hopes of meeting someone?

I'm primarily here for the cute kitteh pictures-- and politics, I suppose. :)

Seriously, I have never even thought about having a romantic relationship with anyone here. I've been lucky enough to meet quite a few DUers in person, but I don't have any desire to date anyone here or elsewhere. Plus, I'm dyslexic, so a first impression involving spelling and typing is never going to serve me well.

but have had too many bad experiences with long-distance to seriously consider it.

Then again, I made profiles on several dating/networking sites and I ended every one with something like, "I'm just looking to meet interesting people. Any dating/sex/back scratchies are just an added bonus." So even on dating sites I'm not even necessarily looking for dates. :P
