I have a strong dislike for chainsaw "art" |
This dude here in town has built a vast chainsaw "art" empire. I've watched it grow as it is on my commute. Rows and rows of "cute" lil chainsawed bears etc. Recently, the beautiful huge oak that was standing in front of an equally beautiful courthouse from the 1800s had to be cut down because it was rotting on the inside in the upper trunk and so posed a danger. So what does the town do with the large stump that was left over? Commission the chainsaw "art" dude to turn it into the most horrendous double eagle "art" piece. It is an eyesore, an abomination, an insult to tree trunks and eagles and chainsaws. It completely wrecks the aesthetic of the fine old courthouse. I want to chainsaw it down, or chop a couple of eagle beaks off.

1. I actually saw a good example of such a thing recently |
there was an old house and a tree next to it along my regular errands route that both needed to be taken down. They just tore the house down, but turned the tree stump into a fairly nifty chinese looking dragon sculpture. I wish I could get pics of it, but every time I pass it I'm in a hurry to get somewhere. :P

10. I have completely reversed my stand against chainsaw art, thanks |
to Tuesday. Did you create those? Those are nice. It's the bear and eagle fetish some of these dudes have that make me want to tell them to hit the reset button.
