I humbly submit, for your viewing pleasure, the world's greatest hot sauce:

I've sampled hot sauces from near and far, but nothing beats the combination of heat, flavor, and versatility of Sriracha.

tabasco's habanero blend. a line of it down the center of a Stouffer's french bread pizza is outstanding.

10. ok you convinced me to try it
Living in close proximity to northern Mexico biases me to those styles but I have heard red cock is good. Is it in the style of salsa roja or is vinegary like the tabascos?

Here is a pretty dang good canned salsa that is cheap and fast if you aren't making homemade (or as a base for fresh):

Herdez salsa casera is not bad either (and their's in a glass jar is quite good):

13. To answer your question
It isn't like any tex/mex style salsa or taco sauce. It is closer to chili paste one can find in many asian restaurants. It is very very tasty

11. good stuff
for a "Louisiana style" hot sauce, I really love the flavor of Schlotzkys'.

and there is a great little chinese food place around the corner that makes the absolute best chili sauce in the world. Yes, I've tried them all; this is best.

15. I'll be dog; Mrs R loves that stuff, too. Although she's such a "heat freak" that she
generally goes for the large bottle of Thai "chili paste" (the stuff that's pretty much red-pepper flakes and gunpowder dissolved in battery acid and vinegar) that we always have in the refrigerator.

It's always a riot to see her in a Mexican restaurant; you'll see the "manly men" at the bar use soem asuce or other that makes them break down and weep, and she can eat the stuff like ketchup.

I don't get it myself, not only because I can't eat hot food, but also because I don't see how anyoe can actually taste the food when they overwhelm it with hot peppers.

But for versitility and over all flavor I agree it's the best. It will always have a home in my refridgerator.

17. sriracha is good
but I prefer grace Scotch bonnet or picante sauce.

Both have that vinegary hot souce flavor i like from Franks and texas petes, but with the fruitiness and heat of habaneros. yum.

20. That's good, and I use it a lot...
...but this is my favorite if you need pure heat:

Also good for stripping waxed floors and removing driveway oil stains. (It says so right on the label!) A couple drops of this in a big pot of homemade clam chowder is pure heaven!
