Last week, I took my Japanese Schoolhouse clock in for a minor repair and oiling...

They called Friday to say it was done...

I went by on Saturday to get it...

The place was closed, locked up, no signs, no NOTHING...

Today, I called...

Can't get through...

Come to find out, their phone has been fucking turned off due to non-payment of the bill!

Great.

As soon as I get out of the shower, I'm heading back down there to see what in hell is going on...

I called the C of C, but they couldn't help either...

I just want my clock back, guys!

I will check here before I go...If you have any ideas at all, I would sure appreciate hearing them...

I miss my clock!

Maybe they used a diff line and you can retrieve that from your caller id?

13. Peggy, do you have a "call for action" at a local tv station?

I've seen that happen here with shops that suddenly closed and still held people's items. Sometimes the news reporter is able to obtain information and set up a way to get your stuff back.

I hope you're able to get your clock back.

did you try the Better Business Bureau or the State Attorney General? They probably have a consumer protection dept of some kind. They might at least have some record or history on the business (actually for that you might go to your town clerk if you live in a town, must be something similar in a city government too)
