Doorbell sounds in teevee ads
Do they have any idea what they're doing when they put doorbell sounds in teevee ads? Does anyone else have dogs?!

2. My sheltie would go crazy
and that drove me crazy when it was just a doorbell on tv.

3. The beagle has learned to calm down if I say, "It's on TV."
What irritates me is commercials on the radio with sirens. I always turn the volume down to figure out if it's real or not.

7. My second dog, first beagle, was a retired hunting dog. He'd never lived in a house
before I adopted him. So, doorbells meant nothing to him. He never did make the connection between that sound and strangers at the door. If only all dogs were so oblivious. But alas...they can't all be beagles.

5. Bella goes nuts when she hears a TV doorbell.
Sometimes, I rewind the TIVO just to torment her. She'll bark while asleep if she hears a "ding-dong" sound on the tube.

6. My retarded shepard mix
barks at everything. He will walk up to the wall and go off because it is in his way. The last eight years with him has been so much fun.

17. Hate all those sounds!!
Screeching tires on the radio are the worse!

I damn near wreck if it is a "good" commercial.

20. Many/most dogs' hearing is too good to be fooled by TV imitations...
...but if the tube is muffled, or in another room, it's been known to set 'em off.
