Does seeing your pets sleep make you sleepy?
My cat is on the cat tree, asleep. My dogs are cuddled up on the dog bed asleep--Rada is snoring. I've got several things that I need to do today, but dang, my animals are sleeping and a nap sounds good.

1. Seeing my cat sleep makes me want to stab him with roofing nails

just so he can see what it feels like when he does it to me.

17. Tell me about it.
Right now, I have a five inch long, three-clawed scratch on my chest...the kitty climbed me to get to a moth in the air last night.

One day, I'll get him back. :)

2. If it did, I'd ALWAYS be sleepy.
My dog and 2 cats are totally narcoleptic.

16. Mine are up all night...then they sleep all day.
Nothing better than having the cats playing chase, running across the bed at 3AM.

:D

8. LOL...
It's better than taking an ambien, isn't it?

Rada has moved from the dog bed to the couch beside me. She's still snoring. Yep, it's time for a nap. :D

That's sweet.

My dad who "doesn't like cats" can be caught any day at 1PM asleep in his recliner with JuJu asleep on his chest. I have pictures...lol.

19. You're lucky...
I will feel the ol' Baptist guilt if I dare nap in the middle of the day instead of doing what I should be doing.

Maybe I should brew a pot of coffee instead.

23. Oh dear yes

When I go into the bedroom and 3 or 4 cats are stretched out on the bed, snoozing away... a nap ALWAYS seems like a good plan... the boy in the picture above will sleep ANYWHERE (pictured here in the middle of the kitchen floor).

27. Thanks!
Dumb as a post, he is. But he makes up for it by being almost embarrassingly handsome. He was adopted from a shelter... even pure bloodlines and pedigrees don't always save a kitty's fuzzy butt from being homeless. My other rescued cats are much more conventional "mutts", though equally beautiful, to me! Of course, I love the whole pack to bits!!!

More snoozers...

31. I used to say my dog gave me "sleeping lessons"
She'd lie on the bed and sleep, and I'd lie down too and just drift away. Very soothing.

34. A sleeping cat has absolutely no affect on me.

Of course not. He can curl up in a cuddly furry little ball, not a care in the world, all warm and cozy, and it does nothing whatsoever for me, nothi

what?

35. Good Grief yes. I call it the Cat Sleep Vortex
Edited on Wed Jul-30-08 12:43 AM by yellowdogintexas
they lie there on the bed, luring you to pet them, you know just sit there for a minute and cuddle them and boom! Three hours later, they are long gone to another nap spot and you are just now waking up.

The cat has narcotic skills, I tell ya.

Maddy did you ever get your cat to use the Breeze Box?

edited to add this :

and this

just to show cats really can sleep anywhere:

evidence of cat hypnotism

no hope for any of us
