There's a guy out front who's punching all the trees
Edited on Tue Jul-29-08 06:45 PM by sniffa
He really wailed on one tree, and I think he broke his hand. I've seen a couple of people break their hand by punching something they shouldn't have, and he's reacting in the same way. He's now punching the trees with his other hand, and now reacting in a similar fashion. He's now sitting down, taking a break, and consoling his damaged hands.

I really wish I had a video camera most days.

Any guesses on what the fuck he's doing? He may be on something, but he seems a little too balanced (not mentally) to be that fucked up. I have two guesses: 1. he's filing for a phony workman's comp/disability and needs a legit injury; 2. he wants to go brag about getting a fight and kicking some ass, and needs scuffed up knuckles.

The obvious answer seems too convenient.

9. King Arthur logic
A man was screwing his wife.
In order to screw his wife he needed a cock.
And what's special about cocks?
They're hard.
And what else is hard?
Wood.
Right. Burn some wood.
We're out of matches.
Okay, punch some trees.

13. PCP
I've seen videos of people on that stuff.

Their muscles contract, so it's easier for them to break things and toss cops around.

On the flip side, if they hit something wrong or take a bad step, it's also easier to break an arm or a leg. That may be what happened here.

16. Possibly
From 5 stories up, and about 100+ feet away his face seemed to be beet red. He was at least angry, I know that.

14. Redneck folly?
I am surrounded by it.

We can sit out on the deck and watch an episode of Married with Children:)

Honestly, they aren't all bad, but we do have a couple neighbors that never fail:)

17. But we don't have too many rednecks here (across the river from Boston - quite urban)
We have plenty of white trash though - they're affectionately referred to as, "Culture Heroes." They're urban white trash, which I didn't know existed prior to living here.

18. Update: I turned away for about 10 seconds, and the guy disappeared.
No big deal, but about 5-10 minutes later, our building's fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. I'm guessing he came to our building because I was out on the balcony mocking him, and he punched the fire control panel.

Our poor kitteh was so scared. We tried to get him out of his hiding spot(s) in case it was a real fire, but to no avail. :(

You run into more crazy fucks in a week than the rest of us do in a year.

20. It's city living
I guarantee there are just as many nuts in every city (and beyond) but most people don't notice. I happen to notice everything (though I usually can't hear it - stoopid deafness) as it is my nature to be very aware and notice everyone, and everything about them. It's also why I'm so good at imitating almost anyone as I notice the smallest quirks about them... and then exaggerate them during my imitations. :D

24. Tough love?
http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/gl_trees_shrubs_other/article/0,1785,HGTV_3648_1388486,00.html

* If you want a straight trunk, spank the tree while it is still young and small (below left). Spanking helps the tree grow strong, straight trunks.*

"Can you believe it? Spanking a tree with a stick actually helps it grow straight. But be gentle as you hit the tree so you don't injure it. A few light taps every few days with a small stick--such as a broom handle--up, down and around the trunk will do the job."

Maybe he just got carried away.

Maybe the tree got smart with him....

25. Saw a guy screaming at a tree in Eugene, Oregon back in 1990....
and I was completely sober. All of the other trees nearby were swaying away from him and older trees were shielding younger trees with their branches.
