and most of them were in direct defense of Paris, which DID not fall.

Compare that with the US's lukewarm effort only entering in 1918 when things were looking up for France/Britian and down for Germany/Austria

USA 58,480 189,955 14,290 262,725

At ONE battle, the French Army lost more men than the entire AEF... Verdun, 300,000 killed.

they are going to make statements like that.
Don't get me wrong, I can give a shit. I just thought you might like to know that A LOT of Frenchmen have died defending their country. I wonder how many Americans will die defending ours when the time comes.
