I think I may have tonsillitis

I'm going to the doctor today... but just out of curiousity what do you guys think?

- the pain has been at the back of the top of my throat since Sunday

- it hasn't gotten better or worse

- it hurts to swallow, feels like something is being strained

- I haven't got a running nose or any other symptoms that would point to a cold or fever.

HOWEVER, I also have these possible contributors

- I have an infected mollar way at the backof my mouth I haven't had time to get taken care of.

- I'm weening myself off psych meds.


Anyone got ideas?

1. My co-worker just informed me that, as a Canadian with socialized medicine,

you will DIE of tonsillitis before you get an appointment.

Oh, and you have zero choice in providers. You're stuck with the bottom of the barrell providers who know nothing.

That could indicate strep.

Are your tonsils swollen? Is there pus on them? If not, probably not tonsilitis. Feel better.

3. I just checked into side-effects of psych drugs

And wouldn't ya know it.... sore throat is on there.

Yeah, doing it right, but Dr. said there will still be side effects.

10. They're horrible. You might need to ask for something

to help you sleep to get through them.

I had them with a pain killer I was on about 2 years ago and I swear, it was murder.

I am battling a hell of a bone infection because just such a molar right now. Please take care.
