I lost my teaching position this summer because I was an emergency hire and the son of a principal in the district needed a job. Don't worry about me though. I was offered a position working for the bastard as his aide. Not only is it humiliating, but I also get my pay cut by more than half. If I didn't need the insurance, I would quit that job in the most destructive way possible.
