Help me! There is something terribly wrong with my computer.
When I click on a link or webpage or the reload button something hits stop and cancels the action. It is typically taking me three to ten tries to go anywhere. My browser is Mozilla and I can't figure out how to stop this. I have uninstalled my browser and reinstalled it and it seemed to work for about ten minutes but is now all effed up again.

1. I don't believe you, Mozilla is a Supreme Being, a Deity if you will
And is incapable of making mistakes or providing any form of less than orgasmic user experience.

Really, DU told me so.

2. Shut down and restart your computer....
Mine does that once in a while and restarting always seems to make the problem go away.

3. what version of Mozilla are you using?
Have you upgraded recently?

Mozilla is pretty solid. I would try a reboot and see if that doesn't take care of it.

4. If you have XP use the restore function to go back
a couple of days. This won't delete anything you've done in the past couple of days but might remove the glitch that is giving you the problem.

5. I would reboot first
and maybe then go look in Task Manager at the processes running and which ones have the most CPU usage and kill processes that don't need to be running.

Personally, I'd do the "Go Back" as a last resort.

6. Get a Mac
UNIX is better than any flavor of Windows, and Mac OS X is the best (and most widespread) flavor of UNIX.

Just throwing in a plug for my man Steve

11. Linux costs less, and you don't need to buy all new hardware to use it...
Just throwing in a plug for my man Linus, SuSE, Mandrake, and lots of happy Linux users around the world. :-)

7. security settings
Check the security settings - if they are too high it will block many websites it considers suspicious.
Empty the temporary internet files folder - sometimes if that is too full the puter doesnt know where to put the new info and stalls.
As far as uninstalling goes - not all uninstallers remove everything - you can go to start/run then type in regedit. It will take you to the registry and in you run a find - type in mozilla and it will find all references to it and you can completely erase mozilla, and possibly the glitch. BUT be very careful - once you erase something in the registry its gone for good. If you dont feel comfortable doing it, then i would suggest you get a good reg cleaning program - microsoft has a free one call reg clean which does a fairly good job.
good luck

it messes with the DLL's. You need a good spyware cleaner. I would recomend one but the one I use cost $$$. Anyone with a link to freeware.
