Mayor's Bentley Towed From City Hall
<snip>

Minutes before the start of Tuesday's North Miami City Council meeting, Mayor Josaphat ''Joe'' Celestin received a startling piece of news: his pricey Bentley was getting towed.

The silver Bentley Arnage -- with the tag NM-MAYOR -- was parked behind City Hall. A tow truck arrived about 7 p.m., along with two Miami-Dade police cars. Officers would only say that they had a court order to tow it.

''They're doing this to embarrass me,'' said Celestin, 47, a civil engineer and builder. He makes $350 a month as mayor.

Roger Madow said he seized the Bentley on behalf of Madison Capital Credit Corp., which obtained a $31,024.51 judgment against Celestin for defaulting on a $25,000 loan from the nonprofit BAC Funding Corp. Madow said BAC lent Celestin money for a ''business enterprise,'' but he does not know what type.

Now, everyone knows he has a Bentley. A court order? Guess, he got too greedy and they want him outta there. He served his purpose to get the Bush boys elected.

4. Heh heh
they seized a $200,000 car for a $31,000 judgment. The jackass shoulda paid the bill. Plus every lugnut in the impound lot is going to have their mitts all over it while it is in storage.
